Celebrating the occasion of Canada day on July 1, Tourism Toronto Business Events hosted a cocktail dinner for the travel trade fraternity at Taj Mansingh Delhi. The Canadian High Commission extended its support as Jess Dutton, Deputy High Commissioner along with his colleagues Oscar Jacob and Sanjeev Verma attended the gathering. As the Chief Guest, Dutton spoke a few words to promote the destination and raised a toast to the evening. Leading hospitality brand Fairmont Hotel as well as Canada’s national airline Air Canada partnered with Tourism Toronto to showcase how each of them together can offer a perfect blend for the Indian MICE market. The evening brought together leading trade partners such as Cox & Kings, Universal Journeys, U-Tourizmo, JTB tours etc.
Keeping the merriment alive in Mumbai, Tourism Toronto created special themed cakes. The team visited about 20 offices, meeting trade partners such as Thomas Cook, SOTC, Platinum World Group, Zenith Holidays, Hotel Starwood, Marriot and many more for a fun celebration with their employees.
Sudarshana Kar, Business Development Manager, MICE, Tourism Toronto, said, “Celebrating Canada Day has now become an integral part of our brand promotions. Each year we look forward to the celebrations as it gives us a chance to meet all our partners and thank them for their efforts in promoting Toronto as India’s preferred MICE destination.”
