Brahman Hills in the KwaZulu Natal Midlands, has opened the new Springholm property.
Springholm is 4.5km from Brahman Hills in the Blue Crane Nature Reserve and has seven fully furnished cottages and four stand-alone rooms that offer self-catering and/or bed and breakfast options.
All are named after local birds such as the Kingfisher, Hoopoe, Blue Crane, and Ibis to name a few.
The Stone and Waterfront cottages’ self-catering units are on ground level. The upstairs levels sleep four people in double rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. The six cottages have inter-leading doors between the levels that allow the entire cottage to be used as a self-catering unit if desired.
There is also a honeymoon cottage, the Sunbird, overlooking the dam and with views of the reserve.
Additional stand-alone rooms on a bed and breakfast basis comprise the two-sleeper Duck, Cormorant, and Ibis, only 20 metres from the water’s edge; the Heron, set further back sleeps four people.
Guests accommodated on a bed and breakfast basis can enjoy breakfast at Springholm’s breakfast venue and other meals at Brahman Hills in either the recently revamped Brahman Café or the cellar restaurant, 89 on Copper. All guests are welcome to make use of Brahman Hills’ other facilities, such as restaurants, bars and the spa, which offers a range of relaxing treatments.
“Brahman Hills is a four-star hotel with standard hotel rooms, 12 self-catering cottages, a luxury spa, restaurants and conference facilities, and we’re one of the best wedding venues in the Midlands. Now, with the addition of Springholm, our accommodation options are considerably enhanced. This is good news for weddings at neighbouring venues that can’t always accommodate all their guests,” says Sollie Bester, General Manager of Brahman Hills.
