Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah has welcomed Rodrigo Ofner to its culinary team.
He will take up the role of director of food and beverage with immediate effect.
Ofner joins the luxury property from Dukes Dubai, bringing many years of expertise from renowned luxury hospitality brands from around the world.
He will be responsible for directing the food and beverage department, ensuring top grade culinary management around the clock.
Responsible for six restaurants and bars at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, Ofner will continue to ensure that guests experience the finest cuisine and unparalleled service in a variety of sumptuous settings.
Ofner graduated from Glion Hotel School in Switzerland with a bachelor’s degree in international hospitality and tourism management.
His career in hospitality commenced at Ritz Four Seasons Hotel Lisboa, before establishing roles across the Atlantic with Le Meridien Copacabana and Le Meridien in Beverly Hills.
Ofner then progressed into Director level roles with the Orient Express Hotels Group in Mexico and Peru before heading back to Europe as director of food and beverage at Verdura Golf Resort & Spa Sicily, part of Rocco Forte Group.
In 2014, Ofner joined the Jumeirah hotel group as director of food and beverage at Jumeirah Port Soller in Mallorca, Spain before moving to Dubai with the luxury hotel group in December 2016 to join the prestigious Madinat Jumeirah team.
