To coincide with the reopening of King’s Pool Camp on June 16, Wilderness Safaris, in partnership with Helicopter Horizons, will introduce scenic helicopter flights from all its camps in Botswana’s Linyanti region.
The helicopter is based at King’s Pool but the flight is available from all Wilderness Safaris’ camps in Linyanti. Departing daily between 11h00 and 15h00, the helicopter will fly over the fault line of the Great African Rift Valley and over the Linyanti wetlands to the river. It then follows the Savute Channel from its source, landing at the headwaters, where guests enjoy a glass of champagne before returning to camp.
“Not only do the helicopter flights offer life-changing adventures, they will also perform an additional security role, assisting our conservation team with wildlife monitoring and monthly wildlife counts in the more remote areas of the Linyanti,” commented Kim Nixon, Wilderness Safaris Botswana MD.
