Hilton has signed a management agreement with Growthpoint Properties, South Africa’s largest real estate investment trust, to open a hotel under its lifestyle Canopy by Hilton brand.
The 150-guestroom Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof is expected to open in 2021 and will be the brand’s debut property in Africa.
Located near the city’s historic Company’s Garden, and the 112-year-old site the Longkloof studios. The project forms part of a precinct redevelopment by Growthpoint, representing a R550 million investment in the city.
The property will participate in the guest loyalty programme for Hilton’s 17 brands. Honors members who book directly through preferred Hilton channels have access to instant benefits, including a flexible payment slider that allows them to choose any combination of Points and money to book a stay, and free standard WiFi.
Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof will be located at Long Kloof Studios, on the corner of Park Road and Kloof Street.
