Slate Coffee Roasters

A coffee spot that’s hands on, from the hand-brewed brewed V60 and Chemex coffee to the deconstructed latte, you’re in good hands at Slate.
Their presentation for drinks is great; especially the deconstructed latte. I really enjoyed talking with the barista about the beans they’re using. – @QueenieIto
La Marzocco Cafe

Located inside a radio station, the Italian, handmade in Florence, espresso machine la Marzocco is the star here. It shares the spotlight with coffee roasters from around the world, baked goods from London Plane, onsite record shop, wall art and gorgeous, industrial-chic space.

Is there really any harm done when a coffee place takes itself too seriously, especially in Seattle? Once you taste the Milstead’s Theo Mocha you won’t think so.
I love quality, with care in craftsmanship and that is why I love the crew at Milstead… Beans are cupped daily to ensure the correct temperature water is used… well you get it, they are meticulous in their bean selection and preparation. Arguably Seattle’s best espresso bar, owner David Schomer is credited with revolutionizing coffee roasting and brewing practices, and the proof is in the perfectly balanced espresso shot and smooth, creamy lattes.
Seattle is known for its independent roaster and coffee house and Vivace is definitely one of my favorites! Their Espresso drinks are just rich and satisfying. I also love the casual and whimsical atmosphere. Great place to work, read or just chat with friends! -Ally Wu
Meowtropolitan

For those looking for feline company and great coffee (the shop brews Herkimer Coffee) Meowtropolitan is purrfect.
A cute shop for cat lovers! The $10 appointment time to play with cats for 50 minutes is worth it! The entry fee includes a drink! If you just want a coffee drink also, you can watch the cat from afar. A very novel idea! – Chi Pham
Victrola Cafe

This Seattle institution is all about bringing coffee to the people – onsite roasting plant, cupping room and tasting sessions.
One of Seattle’s best coffee shops–which is saying a lot. There is a cafe and roasting plant in the same building and they offer regular cupping to try out different coffees. I found the people working there to be particularly friendly and knowledgeable about everything having to do with coffee. – Josh Moody-Arndt
