21c Museum Hotels, the Louisville, Ky.-based company whose boutique hotels feature exhibit space for art installations, has opened a property in an Oklahoma City site that formerly housed a Ford Motor Co. assembly plant.
The 21c Museum Hotel Oklahoma City has a 14,000-square-foot exhibit space that doubles as a meetings facility and is now featuring an installation called “Mechanical Magic.”
The hotel’s restaurant includes a bar and lounge which uses the original terrazzo floor from what had been a showroom for the Model T. The property has 135 rooms, including a suite converted from the building’s original penthouse.
The property was built in 1916 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
