Victoria Falls-based adventure and tourism activity business, Wild Horizons, has expanded its portfolio of products through a new operation in Cape Town.
A brand of integrated tourism group Tourvest’s Accommodation and Activity division, Wild Horizons’ new operation – Wild Horizons Waterfront Adventures – is situated at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, and offers a variety of scheduled and private charter cruises such as harbour trips, bay sails and sunset voyages.
Shane White, Sales and Marketing Director for Wild Horizons, says the decision to expand the portfolio into Cape Town was the next step. “Cape Town still remains one of the top choice destinations for tourists to southern Africa, and having a presence in the two iconic destinations of Cape Town and Victoria Falls has always been a goal of ours. The direct flights from Victoria Falls and Livingstone to Cape Town with Kenyan Airways and Airlink have also helped with the continuation of the Wild Horizons brand – direct from Cape Town to Vic Falls and Livingstone.”
In Victoria Falls, Wild Horizons offers river cruises, helicopter flights, white water rafting, a variety of different safari types, cultural tours, ziplining, canoeing and gorge swings. It also offers transfer services to and from nearby airports as well as between hotels and lodges. “We want to bring the same level of quality, for which the Wild Horizons brand has become world-renowned, in terms of both product and services to holiday-makers in Cape Town,” says CEO of Wild Horizons, Gary Archer, adding that boat cruises at the new Cape Town business are just the beginning and, in time, it will add more activities to the portfolio.
“We are very excited by the response we have received from tour operators and destination marketing companies, following the launch of Wild Horizons Waterfront Adventures, and we are confident that the business will be a success, with the support of our current suppliers,” concludes White.
