Virtuoso has named Virgin Voyages a preferred supplier.
Virgin’s first ship, the Scarlet Lady, is expected to begin sailing next year.
“With the line’s exciting approach to cruising coupled with its advisor-friendly attitude, we are proud to help Virgin Voyages debut on the high seas,” Virtuoso vice president of cruise sales Beth Butzlaff said in a statement.
Virtuoso praised Virgin’s agent-friendliness, pointing out its elimination of noncommissionable portions of fares.
“Advisors can sell voyages based on the total value proposition rather than price and reach a new client base, which results in more commissions,” Virtuoso said.
This is not Virtuoso’s first partnership with a Virgin Group brand. The consortium is Virgin Galactic’s exclusive seller in North America. The Virgin Limited Edition of luxury retreats is also a preferred supplier.
