For 2019, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection is offering Yangtze River sailings on the refurbished Sanctuary Yangzi Explorer in addition to its existing offerings on Century Cruises’ Century Legend.
Owned by Sanctuary Retreats, the 124-passenger Sanctuary Yangzi Explorer recently underwent a refurbishment to give the ship a boutique-style, contemporary feel. All cabins and suites feature private balconies, and the crew to passenger ratio is 1:1. There is an observation deck, a two-tiered theater, library, spa, beauty and fitness facilities.
Uniworld has created an extension to its 11-day “Highlights of China & The Yangtze” — a six-day pre-cruise trip to Mongolia that includes visits to the Gobi Desert and Mongolia’s capital, Ulaanbaatar.
Also for 2019, Uniworld is planning an interior overhaul of its 130-passenger River Royale, which sails in France’s Bordeaux region. Uniworld didn’t provide any specifics about what the overhaul would entail.
