Volcanoes Safaris has completed upgrades to Bwindi Lodge in Uganda.
All areas of the lodge reopened in January, after renovations took place throughout 2017.
Upgrades include a fully redesigned guest lounge and dining area. A newly designed outdoor terrace offers enhanced views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Each of the eight stone and timber glass-fronted bandas (rooms) has its own forest view, and all have been given new interiors.
The newly constructed Forest Spa is set to open in April.
Another new addition is the range of canapés, cocktails, whiskies and wines that are now on offer.
Bwindi Lodge can be accessed by private or scheduled flights from Entebbe, or by helicopter from Kigali.
Guests can visit Bwindi Lodge as part of the seven-day Kyambura and Bwindi Safari, or Volcanoes Safaris’ four-day Bwindi Safari. The lodge is also available for exclusive-use villa bookings.
