Thompson Hotels plans to open the Thompson Denver in 2021. To be located in the downtown LoDo neighborhood, the 11-story property will be the first Thompson to open in Colorado.
The Thompson Denver will span 216 guestrooms, including 15 luxury suites. The hotel will be designed as a modern-day chalet. Upon entry, guests will see an oversized hearth fireplace extending from the lower-level meeting space through to the lobby floor.
A signature Thompson suite will be located on the hotel’s seventh floor, offering an oversized terrace and other dedicated entertaining space. Room interiors will showcase a color palette of greens, grays and browns and a mix of high-end, textural elements like terracotta tile, woven wool and leather.
In addition to a check-in area, the hotel’s lobby will offer a grab-and-go café, which will feature a juice bar and retail offerings by day and transition into a bar and lounge in the evenings.
The hotel’s ground floor will house an all-day restaurant with 90 seats. On the sixth floor, an indoor-outdoor terrace space will offer a 140-seat bar and lounge concept.
The Thompson Denver will join the brand’s existing nine-property portfolio, which includes hotels in New York, Nashville, Seattle, Chicago and Toronto and resorts in Playa del Carmen, Los Cabos and Zihuatanejo, Mexico.
The Thompson brand was acquired by Hyatt as part of the group’s takeover of Two Roads Hospitality late last year.
