Why Go: The sweeping lawn at Marymoor Park is definitely one of Seattle’s best outdoor movie options: they bring food trucks, host trivia, and give away prizes at family- and pet-friendly shows each Wednesday starting at 6:30pm. This summer, some of their movies include Aladdin, Jurassic World, and The Princess Bride.

Peddler Brewing Company

Why Go: Beer at a brewery while your favorite films are showing? You bet – at Peddler Brewing Company in Ballard. One of the few breweries taking advantage of their beer garden for typically Tuesday night showings, upcoming shows include Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark and Zoolander. Given that the establishment is 21+, their film choices tend toward more adult choices and fan favorites.

South Lake Union Discovery Center (Seattle Outdoor Cinema)

Why Go: The recently relocated Fremont Outdoor Cinema will finish out their summer season at their new home on the lawn at the SLU Discovery Center. Skewing toward more movie-nerd choices, you can enjoy O Brother, Where Art Thou? and The Big Lebowski on their Wednesday night showings.

Redhook Brewery (Moonlight Cinema)

Why Go: Eastside movie-loving fans, don’t despair: Redhook Cinema’s Moonlight Cinema series is back for yet another year. Most of these events are 18+, and beer will naturally be flowing as you enjoy classics like Big Trouble in Little China or Tropic Thunder on the big screen.

Magnuson Park

Why Go: Another Seattle summer classic, the series at Magnuson Park walks the fine line between classics and recent audience favorites. Similar to Marymoor Park, there are food trucks and other festivities for each Thursday night show. Upcoming screenings include Guardians of the Galaxy, The Sandlot, and the season ends with The Goonies.
Good for: Family Travelers, History Buffs
