A new teppanyaki restaurant, a two-level pool deck, a Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar, and a virtual reality bungee trampoline will be some of the features on Odyssey of the Seas, a Royal Caribbean ship arriving in November 2020.
The latest Quantum-class ship is scheduled to do six- and eight-day cruises from Fort Lauderdale during the winter season and move to the Mediterranean in the summer.
Royal Caribbean said the ship’s SeaPlex will include “the most interactive arcade to ever sail” with virtual reality games for individual and group play, augmented reality walls and floors for high-tech competitions and family experiences.
A Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade will offer more traditional games.
The line’s 27th ship will have many of the features pioneered on the Quantum of the Seas, including the Two70 lounge, the Music Hall, the Bionic Bar, RipCord by iFly, and the North Star observation pod.
