Princess Cruises named a fourth ship that will be outfitted to use its Ocean Medallion technology.
The Island Princess will use the small, wearable device that takes the place and performs the functions of a key card and more. Princess previously said the medallion will debut on the Regal Princess in November 2017, followed by the Royal Princess and Caribbean Princess.
The 1,970-passenger Island Princess will be cruising in Alaska in the summer of 2018 when the medallion is added to its program.
The ship will be sailing an itinerary between Vancouver and Anchorage (Whittier), with a trip to the state’s best glacial waters, including Glacier Bay National Park.
