Radisson Blu Waterfront Cape Town has appointed Clinton Thom as General Manager. Thom has worked at the Radisson Hotel Group for four years, having previously served as General Manager at the Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Newlands and Radisson Blu Le Vendome Sea Point.
Thom says the hospitality industry has allowed him to grow. “If you think you’ve seen it all in hospitality, think again. You will never stop evolving or learning.” He says the current hospitality landscape in Cape Town is a challenge, exacerbated by the negative image created by the water crisis and adds that a change in mentality could help. “We need to move away from the words ‘water crisis’ and talk about ‘water challenge’ as a collective,” adding that the Radisson Blu Hotel Waterfront has invested in a desalination plant to offset the issues created by the drought.
