The Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour opened Nov. 1 on Banana Bay, marking the Park Hyatt brand’s debut in the Caribbean.
The 126-room resort is home to three restaurants, the first Miraval Life in Balance Spa in the Caribbean and the Reception Hall, which offers indoor event space and wedding venues.
To encourage guests’ island immersion, the Park Hyatt offers a series of curated “journeys” focused on St. Kitts and Nevis history, culture and people.
The itinerary for each journey features local activities and interactions with people that include walks with an island historian, rainforest excursions and visits to the Brimstone Hill Fortress.
The Fort by Camp Hyatt kids’ program offers educational activities geared to the culture of St. Kitts and Nevis.
More than 800 Kittitians have been hired by Hyatt to work at the resort, according to Flor van de Vaart, general manager.
Opening rates start at $425 per room, per night, double. Holiday reservations from Dec. 23-29 require a minimum seven-night stay. Winter season rates start at $825 per room, per night, double.
