Thorntree River Lodge, the new addition to the African Bush Camps portfolio, will open in May on the shores of the Zambezi River in the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park.
The lodge will comprise eight double and two family suites, each with four beds. The suites all overlook river and have their own indoor and outdoor bathrooms as well as a private plunge pool. The main lodge consists of a lounge with an open dining area that leads into a private, temperature controlled wine cellar.
Additional facilities include a gym, spa and a small library with WiFi. The communal deck is set on the edge of the riverside, and has a sunken boma area and an infinity pool.
The park is home to a variety of birds and animals, including 35 species of raptors – including Taita falcon, Black eagle, Peregrine falcon and Augur buzzard – Grant’s zebra, warthog, sable, eland, impala and White rhino.
Thorntree River Lodge offers complimentary airport transfers between the lodge and Livingstone Airport. A complimentary road transfer from Victoria Falls Airport, operated by Safari Logistics, is also offered when combining with other African Bush Camps properties.
