Nico and Estelle van Wyk are the new owners of Mvuradona Safari Lodge, in Marloth Park, just outside the southern border of the Kruger National Park.
The van Wyks have also made some immediate changes to operations at the lodge, established new menus, and completed general maintenance around the lodge, while the staff have been retrained. The lodge will close early next year for a week or two for renovations. Dates and full renovation details are yet to be finalised.
Rihann van Wyk, will take on a sales role and look to market the lodge to the travel trade, which he said was neglected by the previous owners.
The lodge comprises a honeymoon suite, four luxury bush suites accommodating two adults and one child, a standard double room accommodating two adults, and a twin room able to accommodate two adults. The lodge can also be booked out exclusively on either a self-catering or catered basis, able to accommodate 14 adults and six children.
All suites are equipped with air-conditioning, tea and coffee, heater and hot water bottles, hairdryers, water decanters, insect repellent and mosquito nets. Additional facilities include a pool, satellite television, laundry service and WiFi. Wildlife to be seen at the lodge includes zebra, giraffe, warthog, impala and mongoose.
