Return Africa has acquired Welgelegen boutique hotel in Gardens, Cape Town, with effect from April 1.
The move allows the company to accommodate guests on the popular Kruger and Cape Town combination. Return Africa’s portfolio includes Pafuri Camp and Baobab Hill Bush House, a renovation of the old Pafuri section rangers’ homestead. It also operates Pafuri Walking Trails
Welgelegen is below Table Mountain at the end of a cul-de-sac and is a short walk from Kloof Street. The position puts it within 10 minutes’ drive of city’s iconic attractions, including the Cableway, Waterfront, Camps Bay, the city centre and the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The property offers 13 en-suite rooms, a dining area, lounge, swimming pool, and courtyard connecting two Victorian-era homes. Most rooms have views of either Table Mountain or Lion’s Head.
Return Africa CEO, PJ Massyn, said there would be no changes to the running, staffing and management of the guesthouse. “We are excited about this new venture.
