Riding Wild Borana is launching its first riding safari. The seven-night horseback safari will take place from February 1 and will include fly-camping and lodge stays across the Borana Conservancy in Kenya.
The conservancy is home to the Big Five, as well as five rhino calves born this year. Guests will have the chance to see this wildlife from the back of a horse.
The itinerary will start at Borana Lodge, with riders heading across the plains and down to Il Ngwesi Eco Lodge for a fly-camping experience. On the return to Borana, guests will spend a night fly-camping in the Mukugodo Forest before exploring the western side of the Borana Conservancy.
The trip is available for eight riders, riding at least six hours a day, hosted and guided by Borana local and expert rider Eloise Best. Minimum age for the trip is 15. Price for the trip is $6 500 per person and includes transfers, accommodation, meals, drinks, meet and assist, horses and guide.
