City Lodge Hotel Group’s new Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City in Midrand is scheduled to open its first rooms in November.
Construction of the hotel has been under way since March last year. It will feature 160 rooms, eight suites, a rooftop bar, meeting rooms, a swimming pool and a gym.
‘’With the Waterfall City node growing strongly, we are extremely excited about the prospects for this Courtyard Hotel, which will showcase a new concept,” said City Lodge Hotel Group CEO. Andrew Widegger, referring to the hotel’s large, 100-seat conference facility – a feature unique to Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City and a first for the Courtyard brand.
“Courtyard Hotel Waterfall City’s core market will include local and international business and leisure travellers, drawn to this hub’s exciting office, commercial and residential offering,” added Widegger.
The group already owns the nearby City Lodge Hotel Waterfall City. Waterfall City is a growing centre of business and leisure located between Johannesburg and Midrand.
A City Lodge Hotel recently opened in Maputo and a new Town Lodge is to opened in Umhlanga in August 2019, brings the group’s total number of hotels in Africa to 63.
