Following similar policy changes by Carnival and Royal Caribbean, Norwegian Cruise Line will pay travel agents if clients redeem a future cruise credit.
Should an NCL guest redeem a future cruise certificate issued after June 1, 2018, the guest’s agent will receive the full value of that booking’s commission.
Also, Norwegian Cruise Line on April 1 will raise gratuities, exactly one year after the line last increased them.
Gratuities on standard cabins fleetwide (except on the Norwegian Sky and Sun) will rise from $13.99 to $14.50 per day. Guests staying in suites and The Haven will pay $17.50 per day, up from $16.99.
Guests on the Norwegian Sun and Sky, ships that include alcoholic beverages in the cruise price, will see the gratuity charge increase from $18.99 to $19.99. Guests staying in suites on those ships will pay $22.99, up from $21.99.
Guests who have made a booking by March 31 will have the option of prepaying their service charges at the current rate if done prior to the sail date.
