ME London has announced the appointment of Ruairi McDowell as head concierge, where he will oversee all concierge services.
Aged 30, McDowell becomes one of the youngest head concierges at a five-star London hotel, having already been with ME London for four and a half years.
He will be sitting his final exam for the coveted ‘Golden Keys’ in December this year.
McDowell’s father was head Concierge at the Royal National Hotel and it was there that he first began following in his father’s footsteps, joining the hotel as a porter when he was 16.
With over 15 years’ experience since his first taste of the hotel industry in the Royal National Hotel, McDowell has since worked with the Millennium Gloucester Hotel moving to the Millennium Knightsbridge before he began his career at ME London in 2013.
Guillaume Marly, general manager ME London, commented: “Ruairi has been with us now for over four years and in that time, he has consistently gone above and beyond in everything he does, ensuring our guests have the ultimate luxury London experience that ME London stands for.
“We are thrilled to promote him to head concierge and it is testament to his extensive knowledge, contacts and meticulous attention to detail that Ruari also now has the honour of being one of the youngest head concierges at a five star London hotel”.
