The Maldives will host its second Travel Trade show (TTM) in May this year, which has confirmed participation from over 140 resorts/hotel properties, and is expected to welcome more than 300 hoteliers, suppliers, related industries and travel industry professionals from the Maldives and abroad – to network, negotiate and discover the latest industry opinion and trends in the Maldives.
The TTM is set to take place from May 1-3, with a number of tourism-related gatherings hosted throughout the three-day event. These include a gala evening to be held at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi; and the second Hotelier Summit, with four panels scheduled to take place in which more than 150 hotel investors, leading hotel owners, operators, developers, architects, interior designers, and consultants from resorts and hotels across the Maldives will take part in face-to-face meetings, networking activities, and information exchange on this solution-driven platform.
The first Maldives Supplier Expo will be hosted at the TTM, with expected patronage of over 1 000 key decision makers from over 150 resorts and leading tourism stakeholders. It is the only event in the Maldives where exhibiting companies can interface with key decision makers, engineering directors and procurement managers from across the island.
The final day of the TTM will play host to the second Tourism Career Fair, where students and professionals can meet and network with tourism industry representatives.
The aim of the TTM is to support the Maldives tourism industry in reaching its ultimate target of two million tourists and over US$3.5bn (€2.8bn) in receipts by the close of 2020. By bringing together more than 300 hoteliers, suppliers, related industries and travel industry professionals from the Maldives and abroad, the island will be well on its way to achieving this.
