As an interactive and exchange platform for audience and filmmakers, the Cinematheque is taking the role of promoting film culture and Macao films widely, cultivating art sense to Macao people and film lovers. Locals and tourists can make good use of the Cinematheque and enjoy more high-quality films from different parts of the world.
Starting from April, in two weekends per month, two local short or feature films, under the programme ‘Discover Macao: Local Indies Revisited’, will be screened at the Cinematheque, allowing the audience to know more about local film productions.
CUT Ltd will be responsible for the programming and operation of the Cinematheque. Every month, the Cinematheque will hold different thematic film festivals or programmes, such as the ‘Director-in-Focus’ programme. Every month, two to three films from around the world will also be premiered in Macao. The ticket office is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 am to 11:30 pm; while the film information room is open from 10 am to 8 pm.
