Mopane Bush Lodge in South Africa’s Limpopo Province will complete the construction of its luxury tents in April.
The 10 Serengeti Tents will have en-suite bathrooms with bath and outdoor shower, and will sleep 20 people in total. A restaurant, bar and self-catering kitchen are also under construction at the tent site, along with a new swimming pool – all due to be completed in the same month.
In addition to the luxury tents, Mopane Bush Lodge has a main lodge as well as a second tented campsite. It is situated in the Mapesu Private Game Reserve, and across from the well-known Mapugubwe National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site, affording visitors access to both sites and their activities.
Mopane has exclusive access to the Kaoxa Rock Art Shelter, where guests can experience a guided tour of San rock art paintings of people, and different animal species. Guests can also be taken to the Confluence Viewing Deck, where they will be able to see the meeting point of Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa.
Other activities available from Mopane include game drives, migratory bird sightings, cultural safaris, and heritage walks. The area is known for its baobab trees, which visitors will be able to experience ‘up close and personal’.
