The Baked Alaska (for two) at Café Boulud in Toronto is Aaaamazing! |
Last February I had the good fortune to have dinner at Café Boulud in Toronto. My birthday is always the day before Valentine’s Day so I say good fortune because we were able to get a reservation on a Saturday night. I hadn’t been to Café Boulud until then, even though it’s been open at the (new) Four Seasons Toronto for a few years now. CB is on many of Toronto’s best restaurants lists and it gets a ton of media coverage and mentions like on this piece in Vogue a couple of weeks ago. Or just google it: Café Boulud, Toronto.
But back to my dinner.
First, many thanks to Café Boulud’s manager who accommodated our request not to partake of the Valentine’s Prix Fixe dinner. We were able to use the regular menu after I indicated to the manager when I made our reservation (via OpenTable and confirmed by phone w CB), that this was a birthday family dinner and no one told me there was a Valentine’s Dinner menu. So thanks for that.
