Level, the new low-cost transatlantic airline owned by British Airways parent IAG, will establish a base at Paris Orly next summer.
Level will fly to Newark and three other destinations from Orly, which will be the nascent carrier’s second base after Barcelona.
At Orly, Level will replace IAG’s niche OpenSkies brand, which flies only from Paris to New York and Newark. OpenSkies flights will continue to operate until the end of next summer.
Level will begin thrice-weekly service between Orly and Montreal and Orly and Martinique on July 3 and July 4, respectively. The carrier will operate thrice-weekly flights to Guadeloupe starting Sept. 3 and four weekly flights from Orly to Newark on Sept. 4.
Level flies two-cabin aircraft with 293 economy seats and 21 premium economy seats. The carrier will base two Airbus A330s at Orly.
Conceived as IAG’s answer to growing low-cost transatlantic operators Norwegian, Wow, Condor and Eurowings, Level began service in June with flights from Barcelona to Buenos Aires; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; and Oakland and Los Angeles, Calif.
