Livingstone Island, situated in the middle of the Zambezi River at the edge of the Victoria Falls just before the 103-metre drop, has been closed due to the persistent rise in the level of water, making it unsafe for visitors to access the island.
Bushtracks Africa recently announced the closure of the Island for safety reasons, and has advised travellers that all bookings made from April 4 to May will be automatically cancelled. Fees already paid for bookings of the Livingstone Island Tour, during this period, will be refunded.
The island will remain closed until further notice.
