Garonga Safari Camp in the Makalali Conservancy west of the Kruger National Park, has reopened following three months of renovations.
The six safari tents have new shade nets over the current canvas roofs, new decks and new outdoor showers. Small mini-bars and yoga mats have been added to each room.
Garonga has also upgraded its solar system and heater pumps for the rooms.
Federal Airlines offers direct flights to Garonga from Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport. Guests can also be collected from both Phalaborwa and Hoedspruit airports by Garonga staff. Short air hops from Kruger Mpumalanga airport are also available using Odie Air.
A new pack of wild dogs have taken up residence in the Makalali Conservancy.
