Korean Air’s maiden flight from Incheon to Delhi, KE481, landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport and was welcomed with a water canon event prepared by the airport, which was followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the inaugural flight departing from Delhi. Present at the ceremony were Cho Hyun, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of India, Shefali Juenja, Director of Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA), Pradeep Panicker, CEO of Delhi International Airport (P) Limited (DIAL), as well as Song Bo Young, Korean Air’s Regional Director for South East Asia. Officials of Delhi airport also welcomed Korean Air with warm greetings and speeches.
Korean Air’s Incheon-Delhi direct service would operate five days a week utilising an Airbus A330-200 aircraft capable of seating 218 passengers.
KE482 would depart Delhi at 19:40 and land in Incheon at 5:50 next day which would enable passengers to benefit from Korean Air’s extensive global network. The return flight, KE481 would depart Incheon at 12:45 and land in Delhi at 18:20.
