Paul Kruger gate at Kruger National Park reopened on Sunday, according to William Mabasa, SANParks Acting Head of Communications.
“There were no [protest] activities witnessed yesterday (Sunday) so it was reopened,” said Mabasa. The gate had been inaccessible to guests since August 9, due to protests on the R536 leading to the gate.
Mabasa added that although the gate had been reopened, SANParks could not guarantee that there would be no further protest action. “We are not in control of what happens out there and people must always check that there is access first.”
