Kenya Railways will add five coaches to the Nairobi-Mombasa morning train and the Mombasa-Nairobi afternoon train from August 19 to 22, due to high demand for Madaraka Express tickets.
During this peak season, increased numbers of passengers visit the coastal destinations.
The train journey from Nairobi to Mombasa takes half the time of a bus trip. The train journey costs KES1000 ($10) for economy class and KES3000 ($30) in first class.
