IndiGo has rolled out a first-of-its-kind initiative called #FitToFly programme in December 2016. The #FitToFly programme is aimed at creating more awareness around healthy lifestyle especially among Indians, targeting the youth, women and working people.
The airline having partnered with renowned Nutritionist and Advanced Personal trainer, Tarun Gill launched the first series of the #FitToFly programme at Epicentre, Gurgaon. Gill will conduct ‘TG Connect,’ which is a series of health workshops designed to promote fitness amongst the underprivileged people.
The programme would also involve a series of other initiatives aimed at inspiring individuals to break all barriers that come in their way while trying to build a fitness regime.
Speaking on the launch, Aditya Ghosh, President and Whole Time Director, IndiGo said, “Being a young brand with fitness at the core of our operations – whether it be financially or the health of our employees, #FitToFly was an idea waiting to be executed.”
Ghosh further added, “I am personally looking forward to this program becoming synonymous with a fitness revolution in India which is more than getting a six pack but a lifestyle choice. #FitToFly isn’t us telling people ‘do a thousand pushups or get a 6 pack or don’t eat carbs.’ #FitToFly is more of a motivation/inspiration for you to become a healthier version of YOU! With this initiative, we endeavour to infuse IndiGo fitness belief and inspire everyone around to become more fit. I don’t expect this to happen overnight or in a year but will take a sustained effort.”
