Indian Railways to expand its reach to Bangladesh

The 155 km line between Kolkata and Bangladesh’s third largest city already handles freight traffic, but it will now carry passenger trains. This follows the recent increase in frequency of the Maitree Express, which connects Kolkata with Dhaka, to four trains per week.
