The new upscale hotel will initially provide 401 rooms and suites, with 129 serviced apartments scheduled to follow in 2017. Andaz Delhi will feature an F&B outlet designed as a European food hall, while a multi-level Cantonese bar, club and lounge will open in 2017. Other facilities include a heated swimming pool, gym, spa and almost 3,500 sq m of meeting space, including a ballroom and Indian wedding venue.
“The opening of Andaz Delhi marks a significant milestone for the brand. Andaz derives its name from the Hindi word for ‘personal style’ and each location offers guests a fresh and stimulating hotel experience that fuels creativity,” said Kurt Straub, Vice President- Operations, Hyatt India.
The Delhi property becomes the 16th Andaz worldwide, following existing locations in cities including New York, London, Tokyo and Shanghai. Interestingly, the rooms are integrated into a book called ‘401 Reasons to Fall in Love with Delhi’, a copy of which will be placed in each room. The book highlights various aspects of Delhi, such as its heritage, culture and architecture, and forms part of the Andaz brand’s stated aim of reflecting the local flavour of its destinations.
