Hyatt Hotels and Resorts have planned to open new hotels at Hyderabad, Delhi and Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu by the end of this year.
Kurt Straub, Vice-President of operations for Hyatt in India who was here to announce formal opening of Hyatt Regency Chandigarh disclosed that the hospitality chain currently has 24 properties in the country and with the opening of three new hotels; the total number of properties would swell to 27 by the year end. He said that “we are delighted to welcome the first Hyatt-branded hotel to Chandigarh”. The hotel is central to the city’s business hub and is part of a premium development that includes the Elante Mall and an office complex that houses key multi-national companies and diplomatic missions.
General Manager Puneet Baijal said that “Hyatt Regency Chandigarh is a modern hotel that embodies both the city’s design ethos and its resident’s desire for modern accommodations, excellent service and exciting places to eat and drink.” The hotel spread over five and half acres has 211 guestrooms including 25 suites.
