Delta SkyMiles members can now earn points on Airbnb bookings.
Under a new partnership, SkyMiles members will earn one mile for every dollar they spend on Airbnb stays worldwide, exclusive of taxes and fees. To earn those miles, the accommodation must be booked through the deltaairbnb.com website.
The partnership is the second that Airbnb has announced with an airline in the past month. In early October, Australian carrier Qantas began awarding one Qantas point to its frequent flyer members for each dollar they spend on Airbnb stays worldwide. Similar to the Delta arrangement, those bookings must be made through the Qantas website. At the time of that announcement, Qantas said it was the first time Airbnb had worked with an airline’s frequent-flyer program in such a manner.
Under the Airbnb-Delta arrangement, SkyMiles members can get $25 off their first Airbnb stay as well as 1,000 bonus miles. To qualify for the offer, SkyMiles members must book within 60 days of singing up for Airbnb.
