Following the latest weather reports, Air Mauritius and South African Airways have cancelled all Mauritius flights today (January 17) following the latest updates on tropical cyclone Berguitta from the meteorological services.
Air Mauritius is conveying information about flight disruptions on its website and via SMS. To access the SMS service, passengers should send their flight number and flight date to 52559090. For example: MK045 1701.
The following flights expected to land in Mauritius (Jan 17) have been indefinitely delayed:
MK045 from Paris, MK749 from Mumbai, MK683 from Chengdu, MK681 from Guangzhou, MK441 from Perth, MK647 from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, MK846 from Durban, and MK852 from Johannesburg.
The call centre is also contacting passengers individually to communicate updates.
The specific SAA flights that are cancelled are SA190 from JNB to MRU, SA191 from MRU to JNB, SA192 from JNB to MRU and SA193 from MRU to JNB. For further assistance, agents should contact the call centre or travel office.
