The Peri Peri Beach Club is the latest offering from Classic Portfolio member, Azura Retreats, where guests can enjoy authentic Mozambican cuisine and a range of activities.
Azura Peri Peri Beach Club is about a kilometre from Azura Benguerra Island and first welcomed guests in December.
The club was built from the ground up, which involved redeveloping the entire infrastructure, creating new facilities, including a bar, rest-rooms, a new kitchen in which to recreate Azura’s renowned five-star cuisine, a pizza oven, and lounging pavilions.
The Spa pavilion offers African-themed massages, and there is an ocean-facing swimming pool and personal grills where guests can sizzle their own seafood. Co-founder of Azura Retreats, Stella Bettany, said the beach club was a celebration of Mozambique’s Portuguese history, and Portuguese influences could be seen in both the décor and on the menu.
Daily packages include access to the bar and pool, meals and beverages. There are also fly-in helicopter packages for guests in the surrounding area to enjoy the bar and Azura’s hospitality.
