Calumet Fisheries

Using natural wood to smoke fish is a dying art, but Calumet Fisheries has been doing it since 1948. Take a trip out to this landmark for their salmon, shrimp or chubs and you’ll taste the difference.
Calumet’s still as real as it gets. The hot smoked goods were the highlights of our sampling, with shrimp and local chubs being my favorite. -AJ

A classic Chicago Steakhouse! Huge steaks, tasty sides, photos of celebrities lining the walls, and pianist playing old school tunes…it doesn’t get any better than this.
Gibson’s is hands down my favorite Chicago restaurant. People will argue that other steakhouses are better but it’s not just the steak. The sides, the desserts, the service. Everything about this place goes above and beyond. – Kelly Lynn
