The Bungee Tower at Adrift Riverbase in Jinja, Uganda has closed indefinitely due to a landslide that occurred underneath the building structure caused by heavy rainfall.
Jinja Municipal Council declared the area unsafe and requested Adrift to vacate due to safety concerns with the operation of this facility in its current condition.
Adrift’s accommodation services, offices, sales and reservations have relocated to Nile Village Hotel in Jinja and will operate from this facility until Kalagala Falls Tented Camp and Kalagala Falls Overland Camp open mid 2019.
Adrift apologises for the inconvenience caused, and said in a statement: “The safety of our operation and our guests is our absolute priority. We are settled in our new home and it is business as usual at Adrift, Bile Village and Wildwaters Lodge.”
