The Indonesian island welcomed a total of 4.07 million arrivals till October 2016, 21.2% higher than the same period last year, and already ahead of the record four million visitors achieved in the whole of 2015 which is likely to exceed to 4.8 million.
This growth is being driven by two key source markets – Australia (+16.3% to 954,957) and mainland China (+36.4% to 820,345). Combined, these two countries accounted for 43.6% of total arrivals in the 10-month period.
Bali is likely to contribute approximately 40% of the 12 million international travellers expected to visit Indonesia in 2016
