Ramen-Tatsu-Ya

Ramen-Tatsu-Ya is Austin’s first and best ramen spot. If you’re a ramen purist, get the Tonkotsu Original (pork bone broth, chashu, ajitama, woodear mushroom, scallion pork bone broth, chashu, ajitama, woodear mushroom and scallion) or go for one of the inventive specials if you’re feeling adventurous.

When it opened, Uchi changed Austin’s dining scene. Fourteen years later, it continues to push boundaries with creative, contemporary takes on Japanese dishes and sushi.
The ambiance gets an A, but the food gets an A+. Uchi is well established on South Lamar, and has been serving top quality fish for years. I enjoy sitting at the sushi bar, so I can watch them work. They have a nice little wine bar section as well. – Ryan @ OnyxHotels

Come for the legendary birthday cake ice cream sandwich, but only if you plan to end your meal with it. Launderette with its eclectic, globally inspired menu both comforts and takes tastebuds out of the comfort zone, on delightful culinary joy ride.
