Airlink will resume its flights to Gaborone, Kasane and Maun this month.
This comes after Botswana President, Mokgweetsi Masisi, made a declaration to open the country’s airports from Monday, November 9. The country began allowing private charter flights at the beginning of the month.
Airlink CEO and MD, Rodger Foster, told Tourism Update that the airline would resume double-daily flights between Johannesburg and Gaborone on November 16.
He said flights to Kasane and Maun would likely resume from November 30, allowing for the necessary time in the booking system, given that travellers did not fly to these destinations spontaneously.
