Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent has announced senior hires across the business.
Diogo Castanheira has joined the operator as sales manager for northern England, Scotland and Ireland.
Castanheira is a familiar face in the travel industry having held roles in airlines and tour operators for nearly 20 years.
Mark Harris will join the company as sales manager for the south of England.
Harris has extensive experience in the UK travel industry, having held positions across several operators.
The newly built sales team has been tasked with driving relationships with the trade, and the relaunch of escorted tours with the newly hired Michael Fleetwood.
In addition to the sales team hires, Ben Briggs joins as senior marketing manager, distribution, bringing a strong background working in the industry for the past 16 years.
The London based role manages a team of five and includes a variety of specialisations including PR, brand partnerships, social media and digital.
The Abercrombie & Kent marketing team has seen extensive growth since Lisa Warner, director of marketing joined the business 18 months ago.
The team, based across the Cheltenham and London offices is an integral part of the business, tasked with building on the strong brand equity of Abercrombie & Kent.
The company has realigned various aspects of the business in 2018 to work more strategically, with the creation of specialist Programmes for each of its key divisions – tailor-made, escorted tours, villas, ski, beach and private clients.
New offices in Covent Garden, London provide more space for the growing tour operator, following five successive years of double digit growth.
The UK head office in Cheltenham remains.
