Dominica will permit international arrivals starting Aug. 7.
The country cited “successful restrictions to curtail the spread of Covid-19” in announcing the reopening on Tuesday. Dominica previously announced tentative plans to reopen its borders Aug. 15.
Visitors must complete an online health questionnaire and submit a negative result for a Covid-19 PCR test taken up to 72 hours before arrival.
To accept visitors, hotels in Dominica must demonstrate adherence to safety guidelines outlined by the country’s Environmental Health Department. According to a statement from Discover Dominica, six hoteliers have qualified so far, including the Cabrits Resort and Spa Kempinski and Rosalie Bay Resort.
