In its regular Tuesday Talks, strategic marketing company, Classic Portfolio, continues to engage industry experts on their responsibilities in the safari industry and its future in the post-COVID world.
On the panel last week were Owner of Tanda Tula, Don Scott; Owner of Chem Safaris, Fabia Bausch; Co-owner of Blue Safari Seychelles, Murray Collins; and Director of The Safari Collection, Mikey Carr-Hartley.
Panellists agreed that, by their nature, safaris have always been a low-density activity, and now there is more opportunity than ever to offer experiences that will appeal to future travellers.
Collaboration continues to be a common topic, with the panellists agreeing the industry was built on expertise and that trade partners and agents should charge for their services and stand comfortably behind the expertise and support they offer.
Supporting true conservation was another key takeaway from this webinar. Everyone highlighted that there were various projects across the entire portfolio to get involved in.
This week’s Tuesday Talk on June 9, will focus on conservation. Panellist include Executive Manager of Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, Graeme Mann and General Manager of Marataba Conservation, Andre Uys.
