A year before its first ship is slated to set sail, Atlas Ocean Voyages ordered a fifth vessel for its nascent “luxe-adventure” fleet.
The first of the five 98-cabin ships, the World Navigator, is slated to arrive in mid-2021, followed by the World Traveller, World Seeker, World Adventurer and World Discoverer. The Discoverer is scheduled to enter service by the end of 2023.
Atlas Ocean Voyages vice president of sales and trade partnerships Brandon Townsley said having five ships “will allow us to significantly expand our collection of global adventures and offer more group and charter opportunities to meet growing demand.”
The World Navigator is open for reservations on 10 itineraries that range from seven to 15 days in the Eastern Mediterranean, Western Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
Atlas is paying agents 15% commission on World Navigator bookings through March, plus 10% commission on any shore excursions and pre- or post-cruise travel. Agents can register as an Atlas advisor at AtlasOceanVoyages.com.
Atlas fares include alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, Wi-Fi, gratuities and all meals. Most ports will offer at least one included shore excursion.
Atlas, an arm of Portugal’s Mystic Invest Holding, received a nearly $300 million investment by Certares Management, a New York private equity firm with stakes in Travel Leaders Group, American Express Global Business Travel and AmaWaterways.
